Babymoon

We just got back from our "babymoon" a pre-baby vacation during my Spring break. We had an amazing time at our friend Karen's family home on the beach in Oceanside, CA. It was our second annual gathering of great friends at the beach complete with three babies and 1 dog in tow. To see all the pictures (way more than you might want) go to our smugmug site

We spent 6 wonderful and relaxing days on the beach full of long walks, endless reading of non-school stuff, beautiful sunsets, playing with Samba on the beach, trying on different baby-wearing devices, egg-cracking (a Witort family Easter tradition), going to sleep with the waves and waking up late, eating great food, surfing, fishing, and enjoying time with each other to the fullest.

Next we headed to the dessert - Josua Tree- where we hiked and climbed rocks , woke up early and caught the sunrise, gazed at the stars, played with Samba amidst the cholla, listened to and watched birds, ate good food, and enjoyed each other some more. I was calling this trip the calm before the storm because the next month and a half will be pretty intense with finishing up school . But then, come May 12th or so I will be done. I can't believe two years have gone by so fast. Here are a bunch of pictures of our babymoon! love - kris
Our family so far at the beach

Billy trying on the Ergo baby-wearing device with sweet Alita as the willing test dummy.

Happy Easter!

Steve and Kris at battle.

The Victor! Huevo Watts (aka Kristin's egg) is the 2008 winner.

Later Billy catches one of many waves this week.

Could Samba look any happier?

Feeling great at 6 months pregnant today!

Billy fishing at sunset. He ended up catching a sand perch but just after this picture was taken.
Josua Tree National Park.

Kris can barely fit through the boulders!

Maybe the midwife shouldn't see these :-)

A solitary Joshua tree at sunrise

All the Joshua trees were in full bloom...

as was practically everything else

This picture summarizes our whole trip. Thank you life!!!!
